Integration

The Add-On is installed in TYPO3 via the ExtensionManager.
A Manja DAM instance is integrated into TYPO3 as “File Storage” and made available as a “File Mount”.
Access authorizations are controlled by the Manja Account used for the connection. In addition, the mechanisms available in TYPO3 (e.g. release/blocking of “File Mounts” for individual accounts) also take effect.

Use of files

In TYPO3, files from the Manja DAM instance – just like files from other sources – can be selected for content elements. Navigation in the database is done as in a file system, with Manja categories being mapped as directories. A full text search is possible.

TYPO3 accesses the Manja DAM database in read-only mode.

With the TYPO3 integration you can access the Manja files within TYPO3. The directories, as in Manja, are output and you can search for files there via a full text search. With the TYPO3 addon you have read access to your Manja files from within TYPO3.

Metadata

General metadata is taken from Manja DAM:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Alternative text

With extension of the TYPO3 instance’s database, individual metadata can also be transferred.

Compatibility

The Add-On is compatible with TYPO3 8LTS and 9LTS.
