Extensive preview and processing of audio and video files - get more out of your media. Support for various codecs and container formats.

Manage

Audio and video files of the supported formats & codecs are imported into the Manja DAM, various attributes (e.g. length, width x height, frame rate, audio codec, video codec etc.) are recognized and provided as metadata.

The files can then be managed in Manja DAM just like any other file.

View (Preview)

Manja DAM automatically converts audio and video files into web-ready formats. These are used for the preview in the browser.

Depending on the browser you are using, the preview is either HTML5 audio or HTML5 video or Adobe Flash.

Available output formats:

  • MP4 (Audio: AAC; Video: AVC/H.264)
  • OGG (Audio: Ogg Vorbis; Video: Ogg Theora)
  • MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 containers, audio and video

As administrator you can configure the preview formats in many ways (e.g. max. resolution, frame rate, sampling rate etc.).

The Audio/Video addon can be used to define specific preview formats for the audio and video files. In this example, for video formats, the previews can be configured for WebM, MP4 with HEVC or with AVC, and many other formats.

Audio and video files are made available from Manja for a wide variety of applications. This includes converting audio and video files for e.g. web applications and only linking them into the external website.
Workflow - Distribute Audio/Video files

Distribute

The audio and video files managed in Manja DAM can also be made available to the outside world.

Manja DAM converts your files into web-enabled formats that you only need to make available on your website.

Fully automated workflows are also possible (e.g.: external service provider imports the file into Manja; one of your employees checks the file, adds title and description and releases it; then the file automatically appears on your website, including title, author and description).
