Collections are designed to flexibly compile and manage assets—ideal for projects, presentations, or teamwork. Unlike physical relocation, the original files remain in their storage location, while you can organize them into any collection you choose.

Collections offer different views, each providing specific functionality. Here’s an overview:

1. Collections overview page in initial state (Zero State)

If no collections exist yet, the overview page displays the so-called zero state. Clicking the “Create new collection” button opens a modal window where you can create your first collection.

2. Collections overview page (normal state)

Once collections have been created, the overview page displays a list or gallery view of all existing collections. Each collection is presented with a title and a thumbnail image (if available).

Numerous management options are available via the right-click menu:

  • Open collection
  • Download
  • Press
  • Share externally
  • Export
  • Send
  • Publish
  • Edit title and description
  • Delete
  • Additional features: Filter and search options help you quickly find specific collections.

3. Create a modal collection

The “Create new collection” button or the right-click menu opens a modal window in which you can create a new collection.

Fields:

  • Name (designation)
  • note

Action: Click Create Collection to save the collection.

4. Collection detail view

The detailed view of a collection offers comprehensive management options. The main area displays the included assets, while a left sidebar provides additional features.

Main area:

  • Display assets in gallery or list view.
  • Add or remove assets (e.g., by dragging and dropping or by right-clicking on one or more assets).
  • Starting a voting process (requires the add-on “Manja Voting”, seeManja website).

Left sidebar:

  • Description: Text area with details about the collection.
  • Share collection: Share internally with team members.
  • Share files externally: Generate a link for external users.
  • Public/Internal Switch: Activate the switch to create a public link that will then be displayed.
