Configure Adobe® InDesign® optimally

For an optimal display of Adobe® InDesign® documents in Manja, a few adjustments in Adobe® InDesign® are necessary. Here you will find the few steps described.

Tip: We have compiled more information on the support of a wide variety of file formats on the “Format and media support” page.

Optimal Adobe® InDesign® settings

Back to top

To ensure an optimised view of Adobe® InDesign® documents a few settings should be changed in InDesign.

If you work regularly with huge Adobe® InDesign® documents (e.g. catalogues), you should consider adjusting your settings to achieve smaller file sizes. We recommend testing your documents with the following setup and then change (if needed) preview size and numbers of pages gradually to reach the best compromise between file size and convenience.

Adobe® InDesign® CS5 and higher

Back to top
Mac OS X: Menu Adobe® InDesign® -> Preferences -> File Handling
Windows: Menu Edit -> Preferences -> File Handling

  • Always Save Preview Images with Documents
  • Save Preview Images for „All Pages“
  • Preview Size: Extra Large 1024×1024

Adobe® InDesign® CS4

Back to top
Mac OS X: Menu Adobe® InDesign® -> Preferences -> File Handling
Windows: Menu Edit -> Preferences -> File Handling

  • Always Save Preview Images with Documents
  • Preview Size: Extra Large 1024×1024
